Introduction to the Sociological Percpective of the Darfur Crisis
A long lasting and complex conflict such as the one in Darfur has obviously multiple factors as a root of the problem. Looking at it with a sociological perspective the different groups and ethnicities involved (Copnall, J., 2013, par. 8) can easily create conflict. In fact, the power trip of some groups over others and the dehumanisation of ethnical groups play a huge role in the hatred seen in Darfur. In Darfur three different groups of ethnically black people coexist as well as ethnically Arabic nomadic tribes. The Zaghawa, Fur and Masalit are tribes that were victims of numerous attacks. (Copnall, J., 2013, par. 10) These attacks have led to a lot of negative things for Darfuri tribes. The consequences on their culture, lifestyle and habits are major and there is no telling when or if they are going to any of it back.
